Adventure and fun is never more than a few minutes away in the US Virgin Islands....

It's just easier...  Eco-Adventure & Sports in the USVI

Although you'll find tennis facilities and health clubs as many of the large hotels and Resorts - any hotel can help you arrange a day at the golf course, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, para-sailing, kayaking or other water sports.

Hiking & Trekking: Hiking is a great way to explore the beauty and nature of our islands.  Reef Bay Trail Hike is the most popular hike on St. John - guided by guides from the National Park Service.

St. Thomas’ most popular guided hikes & snorkeling are in the Mangrove Sanctuary at the protected and pristine outer island of Cas Cay reachable by boat or kayak  (see tours offered below).

On St. Croix, Estate Mount Washington is popular and there are educational hiking tours during the fall Leatherback Turtle nesting season at the Sandy Point Wildlife Refuge.

Ocean Yacht Racing:  Get the thrill of a life time and be part of an Ocean Racing Team and participate in the exclusive sport of yacht racing. This is your opportunity to race with a fleet of high performance yachts and crew that continue to successfully compete in major racing events around the globe.

As part of a racing team you will be sailing with oceans of experience to harness the power of the wind. No experience is necessary to accept the challenge and taste the victory of this exciting sport.

St. Thomas has one of the best corporate and individual sailing and racing specialists in the World which specializes in making sailing available to everyone, regardless of experience. ONDECK has been operating successfully 10 years in Europe and is well established in St. Thomas in the beautiful US Virgin Islands.

Mountain Biking: tours are popular on St. John and also on Water Island which is  just off the coast of St. Thomas.

Bird watching: For Birdwatchers, there are over 160 species of birds in the US Virgin Islands including brown pelicans, white cattle egrets, brown booby, frigate birds, Mangrove cuckoos, yellow-breasted bananaquilts, warblers, herons and more...

The Virgin Islands National Park on St. John is the center of most bird watching in the Virgin Islands and is easily reached by ferry from St. Thomas.

St. Croix has popular bird watching areas in The West End Forrest and Sandy Point Wildlife Refuge. The South coast of St. Thomas is endowed with the attractive and protected Mangrove Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary & Marine Reserve home to nesting egrets, pelicans, herons and terns.

Whale Watching: If you're lucky enough to visit St. Thomas from January through April, join us for the annual migration of humpback whales along the north shore of St. Thomas.  Whale watching tours by catamaran can be arranged by your hotel.

Horseback Riding: Horseback riding can be arranged on St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix with a variety of English, Western and bareback riding. Donkey rides are available in the Virgin Islands National Park on St. John. There is also thoroughbred horse racing on St. Thomas and St. Croix (check with hotels for schedules).

Guided Kayak & Snorkel Tours of St. Thomas’ Mangrove Sanctuary: The South coast of St. Thomas is endowed with the attractive and protected Mangrove Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary & Marine Reserve of exceptional natural value and is filled with scenic contrasts: manglar islands, rocky cliffs, shallow clear waters with sea grass beds, ponds and panoramic ridge lines.  These natural areas which provide a rich nursery area for nearby offshore coral reefs and homes to nesting egrets, pelicans, herons and terns, offer recreational and educational opportunities for all.

Snorkeling and SNUBA: Snorkeling is excellent throughout the USVI.  St. Thomas has guided snorkeling tours through the St. Thomas Marine Sanctuary or explore on your own at world-famous Magens Bay Beach.

St Croix boasts the incomparable Buck Island Reef National Monument and St. John offers fantastic snorkeling along the shores of the Virgin Islands National Park - where you can also sample 'snuba', a combination of snorkeling and SCUBA diving.
