The winners of our recent 'Girlfriends' sweepstakes found great bargains during their shopping spree in historic Charlotte Amalie.
Caribbean Duty Free Shopping: The USVI raised its duty-free allowance to $1,600 per person. Family members traveling together can make a joint declaration that increases the amount of their allowance. Gifts valued $100 or less can be mailed (no more than one package per day) & do not need to be declared in the exemption. US visitors are allowed to return with six bottles of liquor if one of the bottles was produced locally. Duty of 6% is charged for purchases totaling more than $1,600.

Shopping in Downtown Charlotte Amalie is a special treat as you discover the charming streets (called Gades), alleys and passages that run through the historic warehouse district that used to store exotic spices, rum and molasses. Today, they feature some of the most famous boutiques in the world along with art galleries, bargain liquor, jewelry, watches and local Caribbean arts & crafts.
St. John has quaint shops in Cruz Bay and at many resorts.
On St. Croix - you'll want to visit Christiansted explore shops along the King's Alley Boardwalk and surrounding lanes. In Frederiksted shop along Strand Street after visiting historic Fort Frederik.
Many of the larger hotels and resorts offer a 'shopping shuttle' or can arrange a taxi or car rental for you day of shopping.

Go Fish offers a wide range of souvenirs, jewelry, attractive sportswear, and Caribbean art. We are sure you will find something special to carry home for yourself or friends and family. If you rather not carry your purchases home, we would be happy to ship them for you. Go Fish is accessible from outside the park gates as well as from inside the park. Go Fish is open the same hours as the park.
Currents is a highly acclaimed shop for kids’ stuff, including clothing, books, games, beach toys, and marvelous plush animals. Currents is located at the rear of the park opposite the mangroves on your way to the Marine Gardens. Currents usually closes at 4:00 pm.
