Duty Free Shopping
Update:
The USVI raised its duty-free
allowance to $1,600 per person. Family members traveling together can
make a joint declaration that increases the amount of their allowance.
Gifts valued $100 or less can be mailed (no more than one package per
day) & do not need to be declared in the exemption. US visitors are
allowed to return with six bottles of liquor if one of the bottles was
produced locally. Duty of 6% is charged for purchases totaling more than
$1,600.

most famous boutiques in the world along with art galleries, bargain
liquor, jewelry, watches and local Caribbean arts & crafts.
St. John has quaint shops in Cruz Bay and at
many resorts.
On St. Croix - you'll want to visit
Christiansted explore shops along the King's Alley Boardwalk and
surrounding lanes. In Frederiksted shop along Strand Street after visiting historic Fort
Frederik.
Many
of the larger hotels and resorts offer a 'shopping shuttle' or can arrange a
taxi or car rental for you day of shopping.
